FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
"Are your gowns available for browsing?"
Our boutique is not like most dress shops. Our appointments are uniquely personalized for each bride. Our gorgeous gowns are not on racks for browsing on the shop floor. Having hundreds of gowns out for browsing would be overwhelming. Instead we’ll discuss your likes and dislikes during a pre-consultation phone call.
When you arrive for your appointment, a personalized selection of gorgeous gowns that closely matches your style and price point will already await you. You’ll try on some of those, and then we may pull some more to focus in on finding your dream gown.
"Do I need an appointment?"
So that we can give each bride our undivided attention, we are open only by appointment and cannot accommodate walk-ins. Appointments are required for purchasing wedding gowns and/or accessories.
"How far in advance of my wedding should I purchase a gown?"
We suggest you purchase a gown 9-12 months before your wedding to allow for production, shipping, and alterations. We can accommodate rush orders for some designers, but rush fees will apply.
We do have a limited selection of $1,499 off-the-rack sample gowns that can be purchased for immediate delivery. If you are interested, please ask.
"What are my payment options?"
We accept cash and credit cards. A 60% non-refundable payment is due at the time of purchase for our special order gowns. The balance of any order is due when your gown arrives in our shop. Complete payment is required at the time of purchase for all accessories or off-the-rack sample gowns.
"What size are your sample gowns?"
We do our best to accommodate all body sizes. Bridal sizing differs from street sizing, and may vary widely by designer. The majority of our samples are bridal sizes 10 & 12. We'll work our magic with clips during your appointment, so you can get the best idea of how the gowns will look. We plan to add more sample sizes in the future.
"Will my gown require alterations?"
All gowns will require alterations to give a perfect fit for your wedding day. We will order your gown in the size that closest fits your measurements taken during your appointment. The cost of alterations is not included in the purchase price. Be sure to ask us for a list of recommended seamstresses.
"What should I bring to my appointment?"
We suggest you wear nude undergarments of a similar style to what you will wear on your wedding day—strapless bra, shaping garments (spanx!). Panties are a must. We will be helping you get into each gown, so be sure to wear something you are comfortable in.
"How many guests can I bring to my appointment?"
We suggest 3, or fewer guests for your appointment. We have found that the opinions of a trusted few make for an easier gown decision. We can accommodate up to 6 guests during your visit. Be mindful of including guests who will be honest, but also supportive!
"When should I arrive for my appointment?"
We kindly ask that you (and all of your guests) arrive on-time and right at your scheduled appointment time. As much as we would love to accommodate our brides early (we're glad you're excited to see us!), we may not be able to assist you until your scheduled time. Also, late arrivals could mean your appointment will be cut short to accommodate our guests arriving for a subsequent appointment.
"Can we bring our own snacks or beverages?"
If you wish to bring your own beverages, we allow clear liquids only. We're very sorry, but coffee, pink champagne, mixers of any kind, or any other non-clear beverages will not be permitted inside.
No food of any kind is allowed in the shop.
"Are children allowed?"
We love children, but we kindly request you leave the kiddos at home. As you may already suspect, a shop full of white gowns, glass, mirrors, and delicate items may pose a safety risk for children.
